Our Book Club still continues long after the shop has gone.
We have continued to read, continued to meet, continued to discuss, to agree, to disagree about books, about stories, about writing, about authors, about what makes us. There is something about reading for those of us that read that makes us feel privileged. We read to learn, we read to relax, we read to open our minds, it can be cathartic, it can be exhilarating, and it can be simply infuriating when you just can't connect to the story, the character, the style. But when you do, wow!
I have decided to resurrect the blog and shall post a review of our upcoming book 'Mateship With Birds' by Carrie Tiffany, after our discussion on Thursday 3rd October 2013.
